Great Lakes ~ Great Tastes
A culinary trip around Michigan
White Horse Inn
Metamora, Michigan
Originally established in 1850 as a general store, then an inn and working stagecoach stop, the White Horse Inn is a historical and architectural beauty, serving classic, yet adventurous cuisine.
Iron Fish Distillery
Thompsonville, Michigan
Iron Fish Distillery is Michigan’s first working farm solely dedicated to the practice of distilling small-batch craft spirits. Our family reclaimed a late 1890’s abandoned farmstead with a simple mission in mind: we create exceptional spirits from the ground up, growing our own grain and sourcing grain from Michigan farmers with practices that respect the health of nearby watersheds.
La Gloria Bakery
Detroit, Michigan
Located in Detroit's Mexican Village, La Gloria Bakery not only offers some tasty baked breads, cookies and other goodies - they also prepare tasty tamales and barbacoa.
Karl's Cabin
Plymouth Township, Michigan
While searching for a location to open a new restaurant, Karl Poulos discovered the abandoned log cabin and decided to make it his own. With his wife, Sophia, and their two sons, Karl moved west to open Karl's Family Restaurant in the fall of 1982. With hard-working Karl creating delicious meals in the kitchen and charming Sophia greeting everyone at the front door, it soon became the recipe for success. And ever since, Karl's has become known as "a perfect place for friends and family to meet."
Mud Lake Farm
Hudsonville, Michigan
Mud Lake Farm is located in southern Ottawa County, Michigan with four biomass-heated hydroponic greenhouses. We are firm believers in sustainable agriculture, and enjoy exploring new ideas to make our farm more sustainable. We do not use any pesticides on our farm, but prefer to work with nature using beneficial insects to manage pests.
